Brad, loved this video! Always great to hear Jerry's take on things. Wish I had a Jerry near me. I do have a question related to the valve train/cam failures of the 3.6, do you or Jerry have an opinion one way or the other about installing a Baxter Performance Spin-on Oil Filter Adapter? I notice you have them in your on-line store and I've seen several other say these keep oil at the top of the engine to help with dry starts. If this is something you guys use, I would love to see a video about it. Also, OEM plastic or after market aluminum oil coolers? I know you have gone through this with your JK, I think this would a worthwhile subject too.

Sadly, I also had the misfire issue on my Jeep's 3.6L. And of course, it wasn't under the extended warranty because it is a 2016. To their credit, Jeep refunded 50% of the repair bill which was extremely nice, but still, they KNOW these engines have this issue yet still continue to sell them. There should be something that can be done. I don't know what but it's such a constant issue I would think they could have corrected it by now.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement for jeep reliability unfortunately..

Could you direct me to a 4Xe demo doing the Rosegarden Hill climb, Top of the World loop and returning to Moab with 10 gallons of gas still in the tank? My beater $3000 '87 XJ on 31s with lockers has done this three times since 2004. Throw in Golden Spike, twice; Moab Rim four times and Hole in the Rock from Blanding twice. That XJ also was a great grocery getter and over the 32 years I possessed it until stolen made me a couple hundred grand in the market investing the opportunity cost I saved from not trading for new Jeeps. That's my benchmark before dumping 70 grand into something I have yet to see accomplish that. Moreover, that XJ was also white and pinstriping never concerned me. Thank you.

Is there any kind of "network" of certified Jeep mechanics that operate facilities like this in other parts of the country? I'd love to find a good shop like this in PA. You're very lucky to have this resource so close!

I appreciate your openness in sharing the issues ... makes me a little nervous about purchasing a Gladiator (specifically the "miss" issue). I have been looking at them with great interest because there are so many aftermarket offerings. Thank you again for sharing the information.

I’ve had Yamaha, Honda and Toyota. now I have a jeep. They’ve all had their problems honestly I’ve had more problems with my old Honda than anything else. Every car will have its problems so as long as you’re having fun, and It’s not BMW who cares lol

What’s the best way to determine what steering box I have in my 2020 JT? It’s my first Jeep and have had some wondering issues, took to dealership for diagnosis and service advisor said it was a known issue, but they did find some play in the track bar and also addressed replacing the stabilizer. All covered in my extended warranty.

How long have these jeeps been sitting there.

I own a 2004 Rubicon which I love. But after watching this video owning one of these newer Jeeps would be financially upside down. And the amount of time customers are required to wait is ridiculous. That’s my 2 cents.

Very nice..I had a 14jk with 268k miles and sold it got 09 jk manual transmission..I like it spent last several months totally upgrading everything underneath...regear 4.88 I really like it.. glad my 14 didn't crap out while I had it. Nice walk thru

My nextdoor neighbor had a JK. I only seen it about three weeks in a year. The Jeep dealership couldn't figure it out. 🤷🏽‍♂️ He sold it and got a Lexus GX460. That's why I didn't get a Jeep. My next vehicle is going to be a Landcruiser Series 80.

This video scares the Sxxx out of me. I don't rock-crawl my JT, but I tow a lot and overland all the time. Engine overhauls due to engine misfires/ticking? Frame bending from towing? Leaky timing covers??? All of this is common???? Could you possibly publish a video that does more to damage confidence in our vehicles????

Wish I could afford half of the mods one of those Jeeps is getting. I’ve got an 88 XJ with a 4.6 stroker in it, AX 15, 8.8 ford rear axle, a Dana 30 front with the chrome Molly one piece axles with manual locking hub conversion. 4.11 gears and Electric lockers front and rear, running 33’s BFG k2’s. It ain’t a $100,000 jeep but it works getting me around the Sierra Nevada searching for gold.
